Domestic wastewater treatment of BIDV building

After one month of using Microbe-Lift microorganisms to treat domestic wastewater of BIDV building, the BOD result was 30 mg/l and Ammonia was 5.5 mg/l. Meeting the standards for discharge into the city’s general drainage system.

Current status of domestic wastewater treatment system of BIDV building

Located at 194 Tran Quang Khai, Ly Thai To, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, the BIDV building’s domestic wastewater treatment system has a capacity of Q=200m3/day. This wastewater is characterized by high levels of BOD and Ammonia.

Based on the treatment capacity and quality requirements of input and output wastewater at the treatment station, the proposed wastewater treatment technology line for the domestic wastewater treatment system of BIDV building is as follows:

The BIDV building’s domestic wastewater treatment system was sampled on July 28, 2020. The sample test results are as follows:

  • NT2: Wastewater at the point of contact with the city’s general wastewater.

Wastewater is required to meet QCVN14:2008/BTMT – National technical regulation on domestic wastewater of BTMT. However, wastewater from the manhole after treatment has Ammonia and BOD5 indexes that do not meet column B standards of QCVN14:2008/BTMT.

Solution of using Microbe-Lift microorganisms to treat domestic wastewater of BIDV building

Through field surveys and sample analysis results, Microbe-Lift recommends choosing suitable products for the BIDV building’s domestic wastewater treatment system: Microbe-Lift IND to reduce BOD5 concentration and Microbe-Lift N1 to reduce Ammonia concentration.

Microbe-Lift IND contains a mixture of 12 selected microorganisms, with a density of 387/450 million microorganisms/ml, adaptable to all aerobic, anaerobic and facultative environments. The microorganisms in Microbe-Lift IND promote the biological oxidation of slow-decomposing organic compounds existing in the wastewater system (these organic compounds will overwhelm and inhibit the growth of nitrogen-metabolizing microorganisms) and increase the MLSS content in the biological tank. Helps sludge flocs grow larger and reduces COD, BOD, TSS. Maintains the overall stability of the entire system.

Microbe-Lift N1 is a highly specific nitrogen-transforming microbial consortium, specifically designed to promote, establish and maintain nitrogen metabolism in properly designed wastewater treatment systems. Microbe-Lift N1 contains Nitrosomonas spp and Nitrobacter spp bacteria . Nitrosomonas spp convert ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter spp convert nitrite to nitrate in aerobic bioreactors.

Dosage used in aerobic tank is as follows:

Results after using Microbe-Lift microorganisms

After one month of using Microbe-Lift microorganisms, the domestic wastewater system of BIDV building has shown positive results, specifically as follows: BOD = 30 mg/l and Ammonia = 5.5 mg/l. Meeting the standards for discharge into the city’s general drainage system.
