Wastewater treatment of 50m3 production at VINA Company

VINA company’s production wastewater treatment system collects domestic wastewater from employees and production with a capacity of Q=50m3/day and night. This factory’s wastewater is characterized by high levels of BOD and Ammonia.

Located at Road D2, Area E, Hoa Mac Industrial Park, Duy Tien District, Ha Nam Province, VINA Group mainly operates in the field of animal feed production, providing the market with 6 main brands: Vina, Happy, Lucky, Dong A, Quang Vinh, Vifeed with annual sales of over 500,000 tons and revenue of over 5,000 billion VND.

Continuously developing, in 2003, a second VINA animal feed factory was built in Hai Duong and by 2017, VINA Group also started to build a third factory in Ha Nam with a capacity of 250 thousand tons, contributing to the total output of VINA Corporation as well as contributing to the development of livestock farming in the country.

Wastewater treatment plan at VINA Company

After the inspection of the wastewater treatment system of VINA animal feed factory, Microbe-Lift technical team proposed to use two types of microorganisms in combination to treat ammonia and stabilize the performance of the whole system.

  • Microbe-Lift IND microorganisms treat organic compounds to facilitate the optimal Ammonia Nitrification process. At the same time, stabilize the overall system performance.
  • Microbe-Lift N1 adds Nitrobacter and Nitrosomonas to promote and enhance the ammonia treatment process.

Two strains of probiotics were added to the aerobic biological tank. Microbe-Lift IND probiotics were added 7-10 days in advance, followed by Microbe-Lift N1 probiotics.

For a system with a capacity of 50m3/day and night, the recommended dosage of microorganisms is 2 gallons of Microbe-Lift IND and 2 gallons of Microbe-Lift N1. (1 bottle = 1 gallon = 3.785 liters).

Results after using Microbe-Lift IND and Microbe-Lift N1 in combination

After 30 days of use, the Ammonia index has met the discharge standard. From 37.6 mg/l reduced to 4.2 mg/l, the treatment efficiency is 88% when adding Microbe-Lift N1 and Microbe-Lift IND Ammonia treatment microorganisms.
